Orochi Iori 97 | The King of Fighters All Star X
Orochi Iori or Riot Iori comes in with a whopping 8119 Attack, which is one of the highest attack values in the game. He has average HP and below-average DEF values to boot. His leader skill is one of the strongest in the game. A straight 60% Attack boost to all offense characters regardless of their color affinity.
This means, if it’s got a fist in the circle icon, it gets a straight 60% attack boost. The 10% Defense value is minimal because of how low defenses the Offense fighters category has.
CoreOrochi Iori’s cores come with a mixed bag of stuff. The things to note is the 30% Power Gauge acquisition rate and the 1050 Attack increase. Both are great due to how straight attack is before the Atk +% calculations while the power gauge gain is hard to find in 10%+ in any other sources.
Orochi Iori’s second passive isn’t really that great, gaining 0.6% power gauge when critical hits trigger, as he isn’t really built to be a critical hitting monster like 97 King later on (who boasts a 100% crit rate on normal attacks when she has 5 bars). Orochi Iori, however, has a 100% chance to reset remaining CD times on his active skills when he uses a Desperation Move. This means that even if it misses, he still gains the cooldown reset. This is really good in modes like Master Time Attack as the more you are using skills, the quicker/better you do damage.
SkillsOrochi Iori’s normal string isn’t anything to really write home about, it isn’t interesting in general and has no unique properties. Orochi Iori has some simple skills: His %’s are around 500-600%, which is fairly decent due to how they balance skill damages around attack pool.
His cooldowns are below-average with 10-11 seconds of cooldown. His first skill is just a basic fireball, it OTG’s and it launches with Super Armor for 3 seconds. It’s fairly good. His second skill is a Dragon-Punch like skill that also doesn’t do much besides damage and 60% increased critical damage for 8 seconds. His third skill increases Attack by 20%, critical hit rate by 15% and decreases his defense by 12% for 5 seconds. It also disables roll when an enemy is attacked even when guarding.
This immediately triggers when the skill is used, shaving some time off of the skill if the skill goes through its full three attack phase. Overall, Orochi Iori is the Gen1 FES character, his skills aren’t really all that amazing in terms of anything. They just hit incredibly hit hard.
ConclusionOrochi Iori’s striker skill is just a straight copy of the third skill. It isn’t anything to note, sadly. His striker links are pretty bad now, with no access to solid Atk buffs or any sort of the things he needs. Overall? Orochi Iori just hits hard. That’s just it.
